A day in the life of a mom

NOTE:  This is not a pity post.  I just want to remember what these days are like, so I can appreciate them in the future.  Today...not so much

Up at 6 AM, shower dress
Make breakfast and school lunches
Take thing 1 to school, pick up R- on our way.
Drop off thing 1 & R at school.
Rush back home to pick up thing 2 and thing 3
Drive back to school because I forgot things 1’s backpack…drop off teacher gifts
Take thing 3 to class, screams his head off, give teacher gifts.  Teacher reminds me of a forgotten birthday party for my son at 12:30…need plates and napkins.
Drop off thing 2 and watch teachers receive their teacher gifts.
Drive home
Drop Grammy off with instructions to pickup said plates and napkins from dollar tree
Work for 2 hrs
Load car seats in Grammy’s car
Forget gas in rental…make mad dash to Costco cause I have a gift card
Get gas
Return rental with instructions that I will return for receipt…running late for birthday party
Drive to school in Grammy’s car to the smell of gas…we had to roll the windows down and that blew the headliner in the car down.
Attend party for thing 3
Pick up thing 2
Go to pickup thing 1.  Ring bell…no one there.  Sit in car 15 minutes only to realize the doorbell wasn’t working.
Grab McDonalds and argue with hubby while waiting in drive thru…call dropped…providence or what?
Go by and pickup rental receipt and sunglasses left in rental
Drop off Grammy, thing 2 and thing 3
Take thing 1 to doctor appt and to get allergy shots
Drive him home and then off to work for another 1.5 hrs.
Come home…pack up kids to pick up my car
(Thankfully Grammy already fed everyone)
Drive to car place
Pick up car, drop another 200+ dollars
Drive back home
Eat dinner while returning phones calls
Bathe kids
Make dinner for hubby
Finally sit down for a moment due to extreme stress and fatigue.
Yeah…I get to do it all again tomorrow.
Now I ask you.  How do I fit working out and quiet time in a day like this.

It would appear that you do not need any extra work out and quiet time will have to wait a few years....... seriously!
