I will begin this post with the following disclaimer:
"I am very blessed to have a husband as wonderful as David. He has spent his entire week of vacation spreading mulch and building rock borders around our planting beds. In the past, he has redone our Master Shower, built us a MAN CAVE, and added an additional office out of attic space. He is very handy and that has saved us a TON of money"
Our sofas are broken...again...I am not sure if it is from day to day wear and tear or the pounding of 3 little boys routinely jumping on them. We were blessed to receive these matching sofas (previously we had a sofa from a divorce sale ((Don't ask...not anyone we knew)) and from my single days...both were unattractive.) Anyway, I really want new sofas, but they are not in the short term or long term budget...the same as a new kitchen table, but I digress. I agree with my husband that we can't afford them and the boys would destroy them...but that doesn't make me want them any less.
So today, my DH (dear husband) repaired my sofas again and again, saved us $100 of dollars. In addition 3 little boys had a wonderful time making a fort under the sofa while it was being repaired. Instead of lemons...we have lemonade...or at least a safe sofa.
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Heb 13:5
