Christmas Memories Day 2

So today's Christmas memory was visiting Santa.  Last year, we went with Aunt Catherine...we are sorry she couldn't join us this year.  We bundled our Santa visit with the Lego Store, Lego candy and shoe shopping for Mason.  Icing on the cake of our day was lunch at Steak and Shake...one of the boys favorites.  I am happy to report that Mason ate fries (go figure) AND an oreo milk shake.  It ain't much but we claim progress all the same.

We went to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop.  I thought the lines would be shorter and they offered a free photo.  There was still a line, but they had tables where the kids could color or write their Santa letters, trains to play with, a shooting gallery and remote control cars...doesn't get much better than that!  Not to mention the reindeer were real...real but stuffed of course. What would you expect from a store that specializes in huntin', fishin' and campin'...Logan pointed out the store did carry one item with a "G"...GUNS!

Logan discussed that this Santa wasn't real because he wore glasses.   Last week the Santa's beard wasn't long enough.  He has very high standards. I personally thought he had on a little too much rouge... the phrase goes "His cheeks were like roses, his nose like cherry"...not Tammy Faye.
