Caden and Mommy's special week part 1

Yesterday ended a very special unit for kindergardens at school.  They have been studying Knights and Castles for several weeks.  They learned

Armor - put on the armor of God - Ephesians 6:10-18, 

Work - do everything for the glory of God - I Cor 10:31

Crowns- cast your crown before the throne of God - Rev 4:10-11

Castles - The Lord is my rock and my fortress - Sam 22:2

Peace - Lord, make me an instrument of your peace - St. Francis of Assisi

 and finally

"Mom you are the Queen of my heart because calm me down when I am super angry"

The unit concluded with two big events...the Medieval Faire and the Fairy Tale Ball.  For the faire the children had a guild day.  This was where they made items to sell at the faire.  Caden was in the necklace guild.  Here he is selling his necklaces.

NECKLACES!  Only 2 coins...Caden is a great salesman.

Our guilds were swords, shields, hats, rings, bracelets, daggers and sundials.  Here is Caden buying a sword.  It took him a while to choose the right one.

The children learned about making and selling items (economics) and how they were going to spend their coins (budgeting and financial planning).  Finally, the faire ended with a feast.

Logan stopped for a visit while we were eating.
