Our Latest News

Just a quick update on us and the news from the Kerstiens.

Mason is about the same.  He has had a better week this week.  We are working on desensitizing him at therapy and at home.  He still does not like to touch unfamiliar things or anything wet/goopy/sticky etc.  He has a cold, but feels better today.  His appointment on Tuesday was cut short due him being sick.  He saw the speech therapist today.  She believes he does not hold his tongue properly, which causes problems swallowing and talking.  They are going to develop a program for him to work through both issues (sensitivity and speech).  We will probably have to go twice a week for a while.  It is going to be a very busy fall!

Logan is excited about school.  He received his teacher assignment last Saturday.  His friend, Rachel, is in his class, which will help him feel comfortable in a new environment.  We will be carpooling with her as well, which will help me tremendously when I am working.

Caden met his teachers from Wee School yesterday.  They are the same ones that Logan had last year.  They are in for a shock because Caden is nothing like Logan.  He is 110% all the time.  He will keep them on their toes this year.  There are 3 boys in his class from last year, he should be great.  He needs to learn to write his name before school starts.  There are 20 kids in his class and the teachers will be very busy.

I went to Nags Head last week with my college roommate, Elizabeth.  It was nice to get away and the weather was wonderful.  Vacations go by too quickly.  I have decided I want to retire on the coast.  I love almost everything about the beach.

Finally, David and his dad made good progress on our shower renovation.  There is still a lot of work to be done, but the project is starting to take shape.
