Mason's birthday experience

This year we are trying a new approach to birthdays.  Our kids our blessed with so much we decided to give them an experience for their birthday.  I think I mentioned this when we took Logan to the Lego Kid's Fest.  Mason's birthday experience was a family trip to Carowinds.  The boys had never been and were excited to spend the day with a family from our school.

We spent most of the day at the water park.  The boys loved the wave pool.

 We rode the carousel while it was raining.  Then the rides were shut down for a thunderstorm.

Mason rode his first roller coaster and was NOT impressed.  Fun was had by all and we were all burned and tired...it was an awesome day!
