Last Summer Hoorah...BEACH!

After eating breakfast we quickly packed up for the beach.  We rented one of the ridiculously priced umbrellas.  Mommy talked the lifeguard into letting us have the umbrella for $10 less because we were only going to be there 1/2 of the day.

We were enjoying the water when we saw a school of fish swim by...remember this scene from Finding Nemo...
We were thinking cute fish when a fisherman came up and said SHARK!!!!
We were thinking....
When really it was probably more like...
Not my picture...but type of sharks seen at MB
Either way it was a PERFECT excuse for mommy to keep the boys OUT of the water.  Do you know how hard it is to keep track of three little boys in the big ocean?  Especially when the have NO fear?

We switched gears and started digging a hole for the boys to play.  Logan constructed a trench to get the water into the hole.  Then he engineered a way to stop the water...at least until the tide came in.  He worked on this for at least an hour.

Caden and Mason were bored with construction and quickly made friends with another family on the beach.  They did a little wave jumping, very close to the shore.

Mommy and Grammy watched and enjoyed a moment of peace as we watched the waves and the people.  We LOVE to people watch!

One of the most amazing things we saw...and it wasn't a person...were the butterflies.  They were everywhere.  They must love the color red because the flew around the red bucket for quite a while.

And not beach trip can conclude without someone being buried in sand...
