Updates! Praises! Prayer Requests!

I am sorry it has been so long since I have updated everyone.  It seems our lives are going 100 MPH these days.  We are all doing well, with lots of changes since school has started.

David and I are busy shuttling kids to and from school and activities, orthodontist appointments and friend's houses.  Sometimes we feel more like Uber drivers than parents.

Grammy is doing well.  Though she has slowed down,  her health is stable.  She spends her days taking care of us, praying, reading her bible and doing puzzles.

This school year has been challenging for Logan.  The charter school's program has deteriorated in middle school.  There are many reasons for this, teacher turnover, lack of challenging curriculum, etc, but they have really impacted his school year.  We are exploring other options in our area, but at this time, we do not feel lead to leave his current school.  It is very frustrating to go to school, finish all your work in the first 15 minutes of class and be told to play games until the next rotation.  Logan loves to learn and feels he is getting further and further behind and will not be prepared for high school. Would you please pray for wisdom for us in how to handle this situation?

Caden moved to a new school this year.  It is a praise to say he is doing well and we are glad he is out of the charter school.  It was not a good fit for him and he was not thriving.  He is playing football this fall and looks forward to school every day.  What a blessing!

Mason's school year started off a bit rocky but seems to be going okay.  We have much to praise God about and thank everyone for your prayers.  Almost every prayer request we sent out in June has been answered.  Mason is seeing someone to help with his coping skills.  She is a believer and within our insurance network.  Our pediatrician helped us find a medication that is helping Mason with anxiety and irritability.  It is nice to have our sweet loving boy back.  Finally, tutoring after school seems to be helping him and he is less frustrated by the school as a whole, which is a huge praise.

He is growing!!!  At his well visit, he had gained 20 lbs and grew 3.5 inches.  Another HUGE PRAISE!!! For the first time in 10 years, he is on the growth chart for his age.

Would you please continue to pray for the intensive feeding program that he enters in January.  We will not know the details until December.

Finally, we are searching for schools for the 2020-2021 school year.  To receive grants for tutoring and special education, Mason needs an IEP.  Currently, his school does not feel he needs an IEP so we are at a stalemate.

Also, we will be researching high schools for Logan.  It is hard to believe that we are at that point.  He can get his learner's permit in Feb (gasp!).

Did I mention we are busy?  We look forward to seeing everyone soon as the holidays are approaching.  Thanks again for all your prayers.  We see God working and what an amazing testimony that is to our boys.

Love to all,
David, Mary, Grammy, Logan, Caden, and Mason
