ARFID JOURNEY WEEK 3 (Oct 2020)

I wanted to start this email with words of praise for all our blessings and all of you.  We can see God moving in so many ways while we are here.  Mason and I went trick or treating this weekend with a friend of a friend.  We had a wonderful time and felt safe in a strange city.  Mason had a blast and has enough candy to last us until we get home. Another blessing was finding clearance LEGOS at Walmart.  The therapist uses these as incentives for Mason to eat at each meal.  So far he has built 2 LEGO sets since we arrived.  We have two more that he is working towards!

Mason is doing well in therapy.  He has only struggled during 1 session in 2 weeks.  That is amazing!!!  He is eating pears, apples, applesauce, granola bars, crackers, and graham crackers.  Today he started a drink supplement that will hopefully replace the tube feedings at a later date.

Over the weekend it was announced that Michigan's COVID rates have sky-rocketed.  Mason and I will be self-quarantined in our room during the week and run errands on the weekends.  Please pray that we will not get sick and the program will not get shut down before Mason completes his therapy.  We would hate to leave in the middle and be required to return when the numbers go down.  Finally, I have a couple of unspoken requests that need prayer.
