2015 Christmas Letter

Dear Friends and Family,

We would like to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2016! In case you haven’t heard, we have sold our home of 14 years and are currently renting a 3 BR/2 bath home.  Our house was wonderful, but with growing boys, David working at home, and Grammy, we needed a different floorplan.  We hope to be in our new home by March.

This year David and Mary celebrated 15 years of marriage.  Has it really been that long?  David’s Clemson Tigers are on a roll which makes him really happy.  Though he misses our old house, he does not miss the constant yard work and home maintenance that it required.  His days are filled with work, Clemson football, and playing with the boys.

Mary teaches computers to 3rd thru 5th grade students at the school her boys attend.  She loves her job and being able to be at their school is an added bonus.  There is never a dull moment with three boys.  She is always taking someone, somewhere, for something.

Logan lives, eats and breathes football.  He played flag football again this fall and had several touchdowns and “tackles”.  We are so blessed that our rental house is next to two of his closest friends.  He will be so sad when we move to our new home. Our current neighborhood is full of boys, so he can usually be found outside playing ball or jumping on the neighbor’s trampoline.

Caden may be small in stature but he is tall in personality.    He too is obsessed with football and played flag football with Logan.  He wanted to make sure I told everyone that he is fast and good at football, and he made a great nose tackle/center on his football team.  Recess is his favorite subject (where he plays football) and he loves to read.  All the boys love to play outside and do not come in until dark.

Mason is the life of the party.  He lights up a room the moment he enters.  It is hard to believe that he turned 7 this year.  He still loves Legos, lawn mowers and French fries. His favorite books are his Dad’s old Garfield comics and reading is his favorite subject in school.  Daddy is still his hero and he wants to be just like him.  Many days you will find David mowing grass with Mason two steps behind him. He is growing too fast, so we try to cherish these days because they go so quickly.

We love having Grammy live with us.  She stays busy with crossword puzzles, reading and praying.  She is always the first one up to fix us breakfast, make coffee and help us get out the door.  We would be lost without her.

Finally, we are anxiously waiting to hear from all of you.  We would like to once again wish you a Happy Holidays and look forward to when we see you again!

Grace and Peace in 2015,
David, Mary, Logan, Caden and Mason

Grammy
